I'll momentarily break off from the tutorials and art references every once in a while to feature a piece of art (and the artist). First off, here is my take on David Firth's insane flash animation character, Salad Fingers. Here's episode 1 of 8 if you haven't watched it yet:
Here's my fanart:
One thing I can tell you about Mr. Fingers is that he is fond of feeling textures with his salad fingers particularly rusty articles. Strangely after watching all eight episodes, I find its humor closely resembles that of the kids show Spongebob Squarepants, but that's just my opinon.
Here are a few shading variations on a simple anime face. I'll try to upload some more next time. (From left: light source from right, light source from behind, light source from under)
I'm going to make a series of these mannequin frameworks, not just for myself but for those who are interested to make them as reference as well. Enjoy drawing!
Here are a couple more of my mannequin framework studies. Hope you find this useful. (By the way FACA, is the school where I drew these, in case you are wondering)
For starters, I have a really long name! I will give you my pot of gold if you can guess it (and the story behind it)! Anyway, that is completely irrelevant. What I REALLY wanted you to know about me is that I love fried chicken with lots and lots of gravy!!!
